"As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I am passionate about advancing women's health through education, advocacy, and inclusive support. My goal is to advocate for women by creating a safe and informed space where women feel heard, respected, and empowered to take charge of their health at every stage of life."

A Bit About Mathena
Mathena was born in Mississippi and raised in Illinois, where her passion for nursing began. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bradley University before moving to Arizona in 2014. She spent eight years working as an Emergency Room nurse at Banner University Medical Center (Good Samaritan), an experience that strengthened her clinical expertise and inspired her to further her education. She went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing through Arizona State University and the University of Phoenix.
She is deeply committed to women’s empowerment and is passionate about creating a judgment-free environment where women feel heard, respected, and supported. She believes that education is power and prioritizes patient education to ensure individuals can make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
Outside of her professional career, she is married to her high school sweetheart and is a proud mother of two children. In her free time, she enjoys reading and has read over 260 books since March 2023.
