Emily Botsios
MSN, CNM

“As a Nurse Midwife and mother myself, my number one goal is to build a trusting, supportive, and uplifting relationship with women and their families. It is one of my core beliefs that women are incredibly strong and possess so much intuitive wisdom when it comes to what is best for their bodies. Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are a time of immense transformation and I am there every step of the way to support you through these big changes. During our time together, my purpose is to empower you to trust your body and to support you to have the birthing experience you desire in a safe manner. Nothing brings me more joy than watching women meet their babies for the first time and by assisting them to feel empowered by their birthing experience.

A Bit About Emily

I have over 5 years of midwifery experience at hospitals and a birthing center, and over 14 years as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Banner University. I was inspired to be a Nurse Midwife so I could be a provider that provides evidence based care and builds meaningful relationships with families and women throughout their lifespan. I provide thorough education so women can make informed decisions. I am skilled at cultivating a birth experience that is tailored to the goals of each of my patients. I enjoy watching families grow and feel empowered as I take care of them during their pregnancy, birth,  postpartum time, and then later for well women care. I continue to grow my knowledge every day by staying on top of research and learning from the families I serve, so you can feel confident that you and your growing family are in good hands.

I also enjoy teaching women more about their bodies, their cycle, helping them with fertility, or prevention of pregnancy during their gynecology needs. I especially enjoy seeing women annually for their well women visit. I am also a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor and have had extensive training in Maternal Mental Health.

I have two children, a boy and a girl and married my High School sweetheart after I graduated from nursing school at Arizona State University. I enjoy hiking, yoga, exploring new places, the beach, cooking, dates with my husband, and family movie and game night. I believe my two unmediated births taught me how to help women in a unique way and I am constantly inspired by women and their bodies!

It would be a privilege to support you through your own personal journey!
