Medical Receptionist
Job Title: Medical Receptionist
Reports to: Clinical Manager
Job Purpose: Support all front office duties and responsibilities. Work as part of a front office team in collaboration with the provider and back office staff.
Job Duties:

Greet patients friendly and professionally along with providing positive and courteous customer service at the reception desk and over the phone

Checking patients in for scheduled appointment, review of appropriate appointment type, review of demographics and updating any reported changes, review and assist with paperwork and receive copy of insurance and picture identification

Checking out patient and assisting with scheduling any needed appointments

Review of insurance for active status and co-pays
-
Collecting account balances
-
Communicate all pertinent information with patients (i.e. patient running behind schedule)

Answer phone calls with greeting of practice name, your name and communicating if needing to place on hold

Scheduling appointments to include review of insurance, communication of practice policies regarding arrival and late policies

Creating appropriate phone messages and communicating with appropriate staff to follow-up with patients in a timely manner

Other duties as assigned
