Chief Operating Officer

Premier OBGYN, a private practice serving the communities of Phoenix Arizona, is seeking a full-time Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their established practice to support the growth of women’s health services in the community. The COO will be joining a multidisciplinary OB/GYN group consisting of OB/GYN physicians, certified nurse-midwives, and APP’s. Reports to : CEO


Objectives of this role:

  • Collaborate with CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels.

  • Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning

  • Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met

  • Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention

  • Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations, and take appropriate action when necessary



  • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures.

  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.

  • Establish policies that promote company culture and vision.

  • Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance etc.)

  • Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.

  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.

  • Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance.

  • Assist CEO in fundraising ventures.

  • Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)

  • Manage relationships with partners/vendors.


Required skills and qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles

  • Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity

  • Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues

  • Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics

  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues

  • The ability to approach business with a creative point of view.

  • Fundraising experience.


Preferred skills and qualifications

  • MBA or Bachelor’s Degree in Business
