Position Summary:

Premier OBGYN is growing—and we’re looking for a passionate and experienced Clinical Director to lead our high-performing, compassionate care team in Phoenix, Arizona.

As Clinical Director, you’ll oversee daily clinical operations, drive quality improvement, support provider workflows, and ensure exceptional care delivery across our OB/GYN services. If you're a natural leader with a strong background in women’s health, we want to meet you.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Clinical Oversight:

  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to medical assistants, CNMs, NPs, and other clinical support staff.

  • Ensure adherence to evidence-based practice guidelines, patient safety standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA).

  • Partner with the Medical Director to monitor and improve clinical outcomes and patient experience.

  • Act as a liaison between providers and administrative leadership to address operational needs and strategic goals.

 

Staff Management & Development:

  • Lead clinical onboarding and training programs for new staff and providers.

  • Develop and maintain competency checklists, protocols, and continuing education initiatives.

  • Evaluate clinical staff performance, provide mentorship, and implement improvement plans as needed.

  • Schedule and facilitate regular clinical team meetings.

 

Workflow Optimization & Quality Improvement:

  • Identify and implement improvements to patient flow, scheduling efficiency, and care coordination.

  • Monitor EMR (AthenaHealth) documentation quality and support providers with training and template optimization.

  • Lead initiatives for quality metrics (e.g., HEDIS, prenatal care benchmarks, follow-up compliance).

  • Participate in audits, peer reviews, and root cause analyses when indicated.

 

Patient Care & Advocacy:

  • Assist with high-risk case management and clinical escalations as needed.

  • Support care continuity between office, hospital, and specialty care.

  • Uphold Premier OBGYN’s commitment to compassionate, culturally sensitive, and inclusive care.

 

Qualifications:

  • Required:

    • Active Arizona RN and APRN license (CNM or WHNP or DNP preferred)

    • Minimum of 5 years of OB/GYN clinical experience

    • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting

 

  • Preferred:

    • Experience with AthenaHealth EMR
